IN OUR THOUSANDS IN OUR MILLIONS - WE ARE ALL PALESTINIANS!

London, 31st of May, Emergency Flotilla Demonstration, from Downing Street to the Israeli Embassy

Today I woke up terrified by what I saw on the news. My heart stopped beating, my eyes filled with tears of mourning. A crime so obvious, a murder so obvious, a terrorist act so obvious - so obvious, I thought. But I was full of anger when I realised that major German and English papers and channels failed to capture the gravity of the situation. This was not Israel defending itself, these were not Israeli Soldiers in danger - this was Israel attacking, murdering and terrorising people of peace; these were heavily armed Israeli Soldiers killing people who did not have anything but knives and rods to defend themselves with.

Then I found myself on the streets shouting "Free, free! - Palestine!" - until I lost my voice. I may be quite for a while, but not silent, that is for sure. And I open my hands:

May God help our brothers and sisters suffering, struggling and searching for peace in Palestine, Turkey and everywhere around the world. May God give us strength and wisdom to come to a peaceful solution to this tragedy. May God help our Israeli brothers and sisters who have turned their back to their communities and families to devote their life for peace. May our struggles be rewarded - if not in this, then in the afterlife. May those beloved brothers and sisters who were today stolen from their lives, rest in peace. May God grant those who died the highest station in paradise, may He give comfort to their families. My thoughts are with all those victims of blunder, whether it be Palestinian, Jewish, Muslim, Arab, Christian or otherwise. May there come swift and change in a peaceful and honourable way.
